This nest is located in Peabody, Kansas. Thank you, Farmer Derek, for the live cams, allowing us to observe wildlife on the farm, and Bonnie & Clyde, Great Horned Owls ❗️ ➡️ ➡️ ➡️ NOTE: This video covers the overnight activity/deliveries on 3-13-25, prior to Bonnie interacting with and moving egg #2 (with chick's remains). Egg #2 is in view in this video, and there is nothing graphic, with egg #2 intact in the video. Video opens with two of Clyde's overnight deliveries. Next, Bonnie is alert to a threat near her nest. Historically, the theats there are raccoons. Raccoons will take and eat eggs, and will take young chicks. Bonnie rises and watches from the side of the nest, then dives down. Rustling can be heard, and Bonnie bill clacking. An owl flies to the branch behind the nest, then under the nest. Clyde's hoots can be heard, so he is there also. Clyde flies to the branch behind the nest, more rustling is heard, then Clyde flies to the right. Bonnie returns to the nest and resumes incubation/brooding. The last two segments are two more of Clyde's deliveries. Time stamps below, if interested. Time stamps: Provided in DVR time; actual time is on the cam clock. 00.00. Opening.
