Nintendo World Championships NES Edition - Part 44: Survival Mode #23

With all 156 challenges in Nintendo World Championships NES Edition as well as the Legendary Trial completed with all S ranks, the time has now come to finally challenge the world! I covered the main World Championships mode in the previous video, and now let's cover the other competitive mode of the game, Survival Mode! Survival Mode is an asynchronous competitive multiplayer mode where you race against ghost data of 7 other players on a set of 3 different challenges in random order. Each round, the bottom 50% of the playing field is eliminated. Be the last surviving player to win! There are two different divisions of Survival Mode: the Silver Division and the Gold Division. The two divisions have one different challenge between them, and the Gold Division has you racing against much harder ghosts. This was the 23rd weekly Survival Mode competition since launch and included the following challenges: Silver Division: Coin Collector (Super Mario Bros. 3, Normal) New Heights (Kirby's Adventure, Hard) Power Grab: Screw Attack (Metroid, Hard) Gold Division: Coin Collector (Super Mario Bros. 3, Normal) New Heights (Kirby's Adventure, Hard) Destroyer of Dreams (Super Mario Bros. 2, Master) You may have already seen some of my previous Shorts showing off some of my S Rank runs on these individual challenges, but I also wanted to do a Longform video series to show the grinding process toward those S Ranks and show just how much practice and precision is required to do an effective speedrun. ======================= Upload Schedule: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/...
