2024-09-17 8:30 am Celebration of the Holy Mass for Tuesdaay of the 24th Week in Ordinary TIme
Good morning everyone and welcome to the celebration of the Holy Mass and the Memorials of Saint Robert Bellarmine, bishop and Doctor of the Church, and Saint Hildegard, a Benedictine mystic and visionary who was declared a Doctor of the Church in 2012. In the reading from the Holy Gospel today, Saint Luke writes that as Jesus, with his disciples and a large crowd, approached the gate of the town of Nain, a man who had died was being carried out. The man was his mother's only son and she was a widow. When Jesus saw her with a large crowd from the town, he had compassion for her and said to her, "Do not weep." Then Jesus came forward, touched the pallet, and said, "Young man, I say to you, rise!" The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother. The Responsorial Psalm is Psalm 100: "We are his people, the sheep of his flock."
