In the Evening Review: There was high drama at State House today where President Hage Geingob declared a state of emergency related to the coronavirus outbreak in Namibia. We are also joined by seasoned political analyst Dr Ndumba Kamwanyah, who questions whether President Geingob’s announcement yesterday that he will be reducing government ministries from 26 to 19 truly indicates cost-cutting measures or whether it was a cosmetic attempt to rehabilitate his image. Kamwanyah also questions whether ministers having PHDs are necessary to build a successful country.
