Putin Hails Russia-China Relations In Meeting With Top Diplomat Wang | Russia News | English News Russian President Vladimir Putin told China's top diplomat Wang Yi during talks in the Kremlin on Wednesday (February 22) that relations between Beijing and Moscow played an important role in "stabilising the international situation". Putin said the two countries were reaching new "milestones" in cooperation and development, in remarks broadcast on Russian state TV. Putin also told Wang that he was looking forward to a visit to Moscow by Chinese President Xi Jinping and to deepening the partnership between the two countries. China's top diplomat said relations between the two nations could not be influenced by other countries. During his visit, Wang, also held talks with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev.
