Haversack Survival Kit

Over the past few months, my haversack kit has gone through a steady evolution. After plenty of trial and refinement, I think I’ve finally landed on a setup that feels balanced, practical, capable, and true to how I move in the woods. This kit leans a little tool heavy now with the addition of an Opinel, spoon knife, and file for crafting, but it’s not overly cumbersome. Every item earns its place here from fire kit to field tools, it’s built around the principles of self reliance, simplicity, and efficiency in the wilderness. In this video, I’ll walk through what’s in my updated bushcraft haversack kit, explain why I carry what I do, and share a few lessons learned from field testing in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania.
