New characters include Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas, private military company Shadow Company CEO Commander Phillip Graves, and United States Marine Corps General Shepherd . The game takes place in 2022, three years after Price forms the elite multinational counter-terrorist unit Task Force 141 with Gaz, Soap, Ghost and Farah; Vargas joins the team as its latest member.
