On January 13 and 14th, 1972 Aretha Franklin recorded her live album ‘Amazing Grace’ at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Joined by Reverend James Cleveland and the Southern California Community Choir Aretha performed a variety of Gospel classics; including a medley of ‘You've Got A Friend’ and ’Precious Lord, Take My Hand’ by Carole King, Rev Thomas A Dorsey and Frank Frazier. The concert was shot and directed by Sydney Pollack and after being shelved for 46 years, the documentary/concert film was finally released by producer Alan Elliot in 2018; three months following Aretha’s death. 0:00 - Intro 1:35 - ‘You've Got A Friend’/’Precious Lord, Take My Hand’ (Live Recording) 11:35 - Final Thoughts Full Performance:    • Aretha Franklin 1972 - Medley: YOU'VE GOT ...   Theme Song: 'Yo Picasso' by Verified Picasso -------------- FOLLOW ME: Patreon:   / anactorreacts   Venmo: https://venmo.com/ZacharyMichaels Business/Contact Email: [email protected] - Zachary's Instagram:   / iamzacharymichaels   Zachary's Twitter:   / zacharymichaels   Zachary's Letterboxd: https://letterboxd.com/ZacharyMichaels/ - 'An Actor Reacts' Instagram:   / anactorreacts   'An Actor Reacts' Twitter:   / anactorreacts   'An Actor Reacts' Facebook:   / anactorreacts   -------------- #ArethaFranklin #YouveGotAFriend #PreciousLordTakeMyHand #Gospel #Soul #AmazingGrace #JamesCleveland #SouthernCaliforniaCommunityChoir #Live #AnActorReacts #Review #Reaction #ZacharyMichaels #AnActorActs #TV #Movies #Music #Acting #Reviews #Reactions -------------- Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
