PIANONO is a famous Filipino bakery item that is comparable to jelly roll or Swiss roll. The filling is traditionally made up of margarine & granulated sugar. As it is a sponge type cake (making it light on the belly) it is mostly enjoyed as snacks. Pianono is smaller in size & typically eaten in one to two bites. In this video I purposely rolled the cake bigger in size & added a bit of cream cheese on the filling to give it a little variety. For the batter I just used all purpose flour instead of cake flour and it still turned out light & airy. INGREDIENTS: *Cake Batter* (A) Meringue 6 egg whites 1 tsp cream if tartar 6 tbsp sugar (B) Egg yolk mixture 6 yolks 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 tbsp oil Beat together A & B . PLUS 6 tbsp sifted flour 1 tsp baking powder Pinch of salt *Filling* 75-100g unsalted butter 75g cream cheese 6 tbsp sugar Additional Combine 1 tbsp caster sugar + 2 tbsp cornstarch for dusting.
