Salvation - 30th Week in Ordinary Time | Wednesday Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 13:22-30 At that time, 22 Jesus passed through towns and villages, teaching and making his way to Jerusalem. 23 Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" Jesus answered, 24 "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. For I tell you that many will try to enter and will not be able. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside knocking, saying, "Lord, open the door for us!" He will answer, "I do not know where you are from." 26 Then you will begin to say, "We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets!" 27 But he will reply, 'I do not know where you are from. Depart from me, all you evildoers!' 28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth there, when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrown out. 29 Men will come from east and west, from north and south, and will recline at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30 And there are those who are last who will be first, and those who are first who will be last.
