There is varying advice and opinions on the impact of volume with brainwave entrainment, with some saying the louder it is the more impact it has. From my own experience, my advice is to play it at a volume level you feel comfortable with. The main thing to consider is that it should be loud enough to hear the repetitive isochronic tones, so you don't want it so quiet you can hardly hear them. But you also don't want it so loud that its uncomfortable for you. Somewhere in the middle is my recommendation. Because you are trying to fall asleep with this soundscape, I'd start off by trying a lower volume and see how you respond to that. What are Isochronic tones? Isochronic tones are tones of the same frequency that are separated by short intervals. This creates a rhythmic pulsing sound.
