The former Minister of Fisheries, Bernard Esau and his son-in-law, Thamson Hatuikulipi appeared in the Windhoek magistrate's court to apply for bail after spending more than seven months in prison for his alleged involvement in the #FishRot scandal where the two suspects are accused of committing several charges of corruption, fraud and money laundering. According to Esau, his incarceration has left his workers including his family under stressful economic conditions.
