जम्मू कश्मीर में सूखे के प्रचंड रूप के चलते जहां इस वर्ष कम बर्फबारी के कारण वाटर डेफिसिट देखा जारहा हैं वहीं इस बर्फ की कमी का असर खेलो इंडिया विंटर गैम्स के साथ साथ जम्मू कश्मीर के पर्यटन पर भी होता हुआ नजर आरहा है। बर्फबारी में कमी के कारण जहां खेलो इंडिया विंटर गैम्स जोकि 22 फरवरी से 25 फरवरी तक होने वाली थी को भी अधिकारियों द्वारा स्थगित किया गया हैं वहीं कश्मीर आने वाले पर्यटकों की संख्या में भी काफी गिरावट देखी जा रही हैं। Due to the severe drought in Jammu and Kashmir, this year there is a water deficit due to less snowfall.
