Evinrude 9.9 idle problem? (Carb issue)?

1989 Evinrude 9.9 has an idle ping problem and would greatly appreciate if you could tell me how to fix it. We cleaned the carb and redid the water pump. Leave a comment and hopefully it work because I don’t want to pay to have it fixed if I can do it myself.
