Former Auburn mayor killed in small plane crash, family says

Former Auburn Mayor Bill Kirby died Saturday morning in a small plane crash, family members aid. Placer County sheriff’s deputies and Cal Fire responded to the crash shortly after 11 a.m. When crews arrived, they found that one passenger had been killed in the crash and the other had minor injuries. The survivor is now hospitalized. Jeff Raimundo, a spokesperson for the family, said Kirby was the victim in the crash in a Facebook post. Get the full story in the video above.
