Dr. Sid Buzzell Ephesians 4:11-18 Song of Praise Build Your Kingdom Here Benediction Postlude Come, Christians Join to Sing —————— Unison Reading Acts 2:42-47 (edited for reading) The Christian believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. They were filled with awe at the wonders and signs performed by the apostles. They were together and shared everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they met together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Ephesians 4:11-18 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. 17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Build Your Kingdom Here Verse 1 Come set Your rule and reign In our hearts again Increase in us we pray Unveil why we're made Come set our hearts ablaze with hope Like wildfire in our very souls Holy Spirit come invade us now We are Your church We need Your pow'r in us Verse 2 We seek Your kingdom first We hunger and we thirst Refuse to waste our lives For You're our joy and prize To see the captives' hearts released The hurt the sick the poor at peace We lay down our lives for heaven's cause We are Your church We pray revive this earth Chorus Build Your kingdom here Let the darkness fear Show Your mighty hand Heal our streets and land Set Your church on fire Win this nation back Change the atmosphere Build Your kingdom here we pray Verse 3 Unleash Your kingdom's pow'r Reaching the near and far No force of hell can stop Your beauty changing hearts You made us for much more than this Awake the kingdom seed in us Fill us with the strength and love of Christ We are Your church We are the hope on earth CCLI Song # 6186078 Chris Llewellyn | Gareth Gilkeson | William Herron © 2011 Thankyou Music (Admin. by Capitol CMG Publishing) For use solely with the SongSelect® Terms of Use.
