Bone marrow donor and Leukemia survivor meet for the first time

In April 2014 Merissa was struggling with Leukemia and needed a bone marrow donor to survive. Daniela, who had registered with DKMS in Germany, was a perfect match for Merissa. Two years later, in the spring of 2016, Merissa and Daniela met for the first time. Daniela flew transatlantic from Germany to Merissa's hometown of Duluth Minnesota, where they met for the first time at the airport. Merissa tells Daniela, "You're always a part of me.
