Some of the typical eligibility requirements: Level-1 (Primary Teacher, Classes 1–5) You may apply if you have one of the following: Senior Secondary (12th) with ≥ 50% + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), or Senior Secondary (45%) + 2-year D.El.Ed (as per NCTE 2002 norms), or Senior Secondary (50%) + 4-year B.El.Ed, or Bachelor’s degree + 2-year D.El.Ed. For Sanskrit-specialist Primary Teacher: “Shastri / Varishtha Upadhyaya” degree with D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed (or equivalent) along with REET qualification. Level-2 (Upper Primary Teacher, Classes 6–8) Depends on subject: For subjects like Hindi, English, Social Science, Maths-Science: Bachelor’s / Master’s + D.El.Ed / B.Ed / B.El.Ed (as per NCTE norms) + REET pass. For Sanskrit subject: Shastri / equivalent + teaching diploma/degree + REET pass. Also there is age requirement: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years (as on 01-01-2026), with relaxations as per government norms. 💰 Application Fee Fee structure as per category: General / EWS / OBC (Creamy Layer): ₹600 OBC (Non-Creamy), SC / ST / PwD: ₹400 There’s also a correction fee (if applicable) ₹300.
