SOUNDBITE (English) Carlos Valdes and Mae Whitman, actors: Whitman: "Lauren is like, I mean, I feel embarrassed that I even I have, like, the world's foremost resource about everything at my fingertips. I mean, she's brilliant about everything. And she's my cheerleader and she's it just like, again, talk about, like it pouring out of her. It's like I was having so much self-doubt about this project, and it's such a tricky line when you want something so badly, but you can't put so much of yourself into it that you're completely broken if you don't get it. And I still, after 30 years of doing this, I'm trying to figure out how to ride that line. And, you know, I was really struggling. And Lauren, boy, we went to dinner and we sat there for three hours and she was like, 'No, sit down. Listen to this. You got this. This is your time. This project is for you.' And she like—it was aggressive, you know, and I would kind of be like, 'Well, I don't (know.)' She's like, 'No, don't give me that. I don't want that. Look here. This is why.' And she really, like, you know, pushed me into this place of feeling like I was able to do this."
