Motorcyclist Injured in Pinellas Park Hit and Run Crash Saturday Night Published: September 27, 2015 – 5PM At about 8:20 PM on Saturday, September 26, 2015, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash. The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of US-19 in the 7700 block just north of the Winghouse Restaurant. According to Pinellas Park Police Department (PPPD), 32 year-old Bopia Thach of St. Petersburg, was traveling south on U.S. 19 when a Toyota 4 door vehicle turned in front of his Honda motorcycle. Thach suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital as a trauma alert. According to PPPD, he is expected to recover from his injuries. The Toyota remained on the scene but the driver and passenger fled the scene of the crash. Investigators have been working to identify the vehicle’s occupants.
