Initially planned for Victoria, Australia, the location changed. The official mascot is 'Fini,' representing fun and the Glasgow unicorn. ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup 2026 (4:31-6:30): The 16th edition of the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup in 2026 will be co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia from January 15 to February 6. India's captain for this tournament will be Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Somaliland's International Recognition (6:49-10:00): Somaliland, strategically located on the Gulf of Aden, declared its independence from Somalia in 1991. Its capital city is Hargeisa. Thailand-Cambodia Border Dispute (Preah Vihear Temple) (10:09-11:20): Thailand and Cambodia have signed an agreement to resolve their border dispute concerning the Preah Vihear Temple. Indian Women's Cricket Team and ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025 (11:31-14:15): Amol Muzumdar is the current coach of the Indian Women's Cricket Team. The 13th edition of the ICC Women's ODI World Cup in 2025 was jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2. Ditwah Cyclonic Storm & Operation Sagar Bandhu (14:20-15:26): The Ditwah cyclonic storm impacted Southern India and Sri Lanka in late November and early December. The Indian Navy launched 'Operation Sagar Bandhu' to provide humanitarian assistance to the affected regions. Lionel Messi's India Visit and FIFA World Cup 2026 (15:35-17:29): Lionel Messi's visit to Kolkata caused crowd control issues due to overwhelming public interest. Messi represents Argentina in football. The FIFA Men's World Cup 2026 will be co-hosted by Mexico, Canada, and the USA. UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage (17:32-18:47): In December 2025, Diwali (Deepawali) was included in UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list during its 20th session held in Delhi. Mount Everest Day (18:50-19:35): May 29 is celebrated annually as Mount Everest Day, commemorating the first ascent of Mount Everest by two climbers in 1953. President Droupadi Murmu (19:40-22:18): President Droupadi Murmu became the second Indian President to experience a submarine journey on the Indian Naval Ship Vagir (19:56). Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Governor (23:46-24:42): Vishnu Deo Sai is the current Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, and Shri Raman Deka is the current Governor. NASA & SpaceX Dragon Mission (24:51-25:33): In March 2025, NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams traveled on SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft. Kabaddi World Cup 2025 (25:41-26:57): The Kabaddi World Cup was held in the United Kingdom in March 2025, organized by the International Kabaddi Federation.
