CBI Intensifies Probe Into Liquor Excise Case, Grilling Of 5 Accuse Underway | Delhi Liquor Scam

In November 2021, the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government rolled out its new liquor policy with much fanfare. Cut to nine months later, and the national capital is ready to revert to the old regime after a series of controversies over Excise Policy 2021-22 that have landed the deputy chief minister and several public servants under the CBI’s lens. As the ruling AAP and opposition parties traded allegations over the failed policy, the CBI on Friday carried out sweeping raids across several states, including the Delhi home of deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia.
