Ken Fisher’s 2022 Resolutions for Investors
Fisher Investments’ founder, Executive Chairman and Co-Chief Investment Officer Ken Fisher discusses how investors should think about their New Year resolutions. Ken believes the yearly calendar is largely an arbitrary timeframe when it comes to investing and there is nothing particularly special about January. Therefore, Ken says the best thing for investors to focus on are the investment fundamentals they should practice now and always—not just at some arbitrary point in the year. Ken urges investors to focus on the basics: establish your long-term investment goals, create a plan to achieve them, check your portfolio regularly, but not excessively, to ensure you are staying on track, and repeat. Ken says staying on track to achieving your investment goals is a lifelong activity, not something you should only do in January or any other single point in time.
