THE ASIA HRD AWARDS 2017 ---------------- Nadiah Tan Binti Abdullah Chief Human Resources Officer, Group Human Resources S P Setia Berhad Malaysia ----------------------- Contribution to HR Community This award is presented to individuals whose concepts and practices have resulted in effective and high impact best practices recognised by HR Practitioners and organisations. ------------ The Asia HRD Awards is a celebration and recognition of virtuosos who contribute to people development - whether it is to the human resource profession, an organisation, the community or society at large. Recipients of these Awards are role models with unquestionable integrity. An independent Awards Committee will choose the awardees objectively and equitably. Nominations are open to all. Launched as an independent initiative in 2003 with just 5 recipients from 2 countries, the Awards have now become a prestigious annual event with the Asia HRD Awards Hall of Fame honouring a total of 185 recipients from 18 countries. The Awards Committee welcomes nominations throughout the year from all over the globe, particularly from Asia. The Awards are presented in 5 categories - Lifetime Achievement, Contribution to Society, Contribution to Organisation, Contribution to Human Resources Community and Movers and Shakers - of which, each has its own set of criteria. The nominations have grown over the years. While there is no set number for organisations selected to receive the award, the Awards Committee will recognise as many organisations or individuals from among the nominations who meet the criteria of the 5 categories of awards. The criteria outlined in the Asia HRD Award are captured by biographic and occupational history sketches and detailed record of achievements. The goal of the Awards is to finally develop best practices and show case Awards recipients' experiences in association with educational institutions promoting HRD and to showcase achievements in the field of people development. ------------
