Kettering murder inquiry Man charged over death of NHS nurse and her two young children

A Kettering man has been charged with murdering his wife and two children. Saju Chelavalel, 52, was arrested on Thursday morning following a police investigation at his home in Petherton Court in Kettering. Anju Asok, 35, and her son Jeeva Saju, 6, as well as her daughter Janvi Saju, 4, were found dead with severe injuries at the residence. Northamptonshire Police said postmortem examinations determined the youngsters died from asphyxiation. Ms Asok was killed at the scene, but her children died later in hospital. The 'committed and compassionate' hospital worker was 'treasured and respected' by her close friends and colleagues,' according to a statement from Kettering General Hospital. Saju Chelavalel will appear at Northampton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
