Part 4 Broccoli: Delicious Italian Broccoli Recipes: Broccoli and Ricotta Stuffed Shells This delicious Italian dish features jumbo pasta shells filled with a creamy mixture of ricotta, broccoli, and Parmesan, then baked in a flavorful marinara sauce. It’s the perfect comfort food for any occasion. Ingredients: • Jumbo pasta shells • 2 cups broccoli florets, chopped • 1 cup ricotta cheese • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided • 1 egg • 2 cloves garlic, minced • ½ tsp salt • ½ tsp black pepper • 1 tsp dried oregano • 2 cups marinara sauce • 1 tbsp olive oil Instructions: 1. Cook the Pasta & Broccoli: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta shells until al dente. Drain and set aside. In the same water, blanch the broccoli for 3 minutes, then drain and chop finely. 2. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix ricotta, Parmesan, ½ cup mozzarella, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. Stir in the chopped broccoli. 3. Stuff the Shells: Fill each pasta shell with a spoonful of the ricotta-broccoli mixture. 4. Assemble the Dish: Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish, then top with the remaining sauce and mozzarella. 5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
