Purge or Perish

Purge or Perish

I’m going to read to you the words of Jesus found in John chapter 15; “I AM the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away, and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth MORE fruit.” What Jesus is saying is that those who do not do good works will be cast into hell, the Father who is in heaven will send them to hell because they are not bearing good fruit, their works are bad. However, those of us who are bearing good fruit, Jesus said that we will be purged. To purge means to be cleaned or purified. So many Christians sadly refuse to be purified, they think that they have good works yet they refuse to be purified, they are STILL SINNERS because they have never repented of ALL of their sins, maybe they have repented of SOME but they have never repent of some other of their sins. Maybe they are still looking at pornography, they have never given up their cigarettes, they have never given up their lies or WHATEVER their little PET SIN is, they have never repented of it. SO many Christians refuse to be purged, THEY CAN’T STOP ASSOCIATING WITH THEIR SIN OR WITH SINNERS. If you refuse to be purged you cannot go on with Jesus and you will perish. The decision is yours; either be purged, be holy and pure or perish. May the grace of Jesus be with you.
