Advisor denies jailed former Pakistan leader Imran Khan's human rights are being violated

An advisor to Pakistan's government has rejected suggestions the country's former prime minister is being mistreated in prison. Imran Khan was handed a three-year jail term in August 2023 for illegally selling state gifts - allegations his supporters say were politically motivated. Mr Khan's sister told Sky News his family had not been allowed to see him for several weeks, and he was being held in solitary confinement. However, in heated exchanges with Sky's Yalda Hakim, Ahmed Hassan Al-Arabi insisted Mr Khan's human rights were being respected.
