07. 사물놀이(Samulnori) 사물놀이는 꽹과리, 징, 장구, 북의 네 개 타악기로 연주하는 리듬합주로서 풍물굿의 무대화 성공작이라고 할 수 있다. 1978년 태동 이후 이미 1980년대 초반부터 해외에서 극찬을 받기 시작해서 오늘날은 국내 뿐만 아니라 해외에서도 대한민국의 대표적인 음악으로 인식되고 있으며, 한국 전통음악의 독특한 리듬체계를 느낄 수 있다. 처음에는 김덕수, 김용배, 이광수, 최종실로 구성된 단체를 지칭하는 고유명사처럼 사용되었지만, 사물놀이가 인기를 끌고 여러 단체들이 만들어지자 사물놀이라는 것이 무대공연양식을 지칭하는 말이 되었다. 국립국악원 사물놀이 팀은 1984년 만들어졌다. A success story of the transfer of Pungmulgut onto the stage, Samulnori is a percussion ensemble consisting of kkwaenggwari, jing, janggu, and buk. Since its emergence in 1978, it has been well received as the most representative form of Korean music both at home and abroad, having demonstrated the unique rhythmic patterns of Korean music. Initially, Samulnori was a pronoun for an ensemble made up of Kim Duk-soo, Kim Yong-bae, Lee Kwang-su, and Choi Jong-sil, but it became a common noun for a performing art as the new genre spawned several groups.
