Psalm 104:25 (BCP)   Confession Officiant: Let us humbly confess our sins unto Almighty God. People: Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things which we ought not to have done; and apart from your grace, there is no health in us.  O Lord, have mercy upon us. Spare all those who confess their faults. Restore all those who are penitent, according to your promises declared to all people in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may now live a godly, righteous, and sober life, to the glory of your holy Name. Amen. Officiant: Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen.   The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.   Invitatory & Psalms Officiant: O God, make speed to save us.  People: O Lord, make haste to help us.  Officiant & People: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:  as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.   O Gracious Light Phos hilaron O gracious Light,  pure brightness of the everliving Father in heaven, O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed! Now as we come to the setting of the sun,  and our eyes behold the vesper light,  we sing your praises, O God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You are worthy at all times to be praised by happy voices,  O Son of God, O Giver of life, and to be glorified through all the worlds.   Psalm 6 Domine, ne in furore 1 Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger; * do not punish me in your wrath. 2 Have pity on me, Lord, for I am weak; * heal me, Lord, for my bones are racked. 3 My spirit shakes with terror; * how long, O Lord, how long? 4 Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; * save me for your mercy’s sake. 5 For in death no one remembers you; * and who will give you thanks in the grave? 6 I grow weary because of my groaning; * every night I drench my bed and flood my couch with tears. 7 My eyes are wasted with grief * and worn away because of all my enemies. 8 Depart from me, all evildoers, * for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. 9 The Lord has heard my supplication; * the Lord accepts my prayer. 10 All my enemies shall be confounded and quake with fear; * they shall turn back and suddenly be put to shame.   Psalm 26 Judica me, Domine 1 Give judgment for me, O Lord, for I have lived with integrity; * I have trusted in the Lord and have not faltered. 2 Test me, O Lord, and try me; * examine my heart and my mind. 3 For your love is before my eyes; * I have walked faithfully with you. 4 I have not sat with the worthless, * nor do I consort with the deceitful. 5 I have hated the company of evildoers; * I will not sit down with the wicked. 6 I will wash my hands in innocence, O Lord, * that I may go in procession round your altar, 7 Singing aloud a song of thanksgiving * and recounting all your wonderful deeds. 8 Lord, I love the house in which you dwell * and the place where your glory abides. 9 Do not sweep me away with sinners, * nor my life with those who thirst for blood, 10 Whose hands are full of evil plots, * and their right hand full of bribes. 11 As for me, I will live with integrity; * redeem me, O Lord, and have pity on me. 12 My foot stands on level ground; * in the full assembly I will bless the Lord.   Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:  as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.   The Lessons Amos 7:10-17 English Standard Version Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words. For thus Amos has said, “‘Jeroboam shall die by the sword,  ...
