Resident Evil 3 Remake 51:25 CONSOLE NG+ Assisted Speedrun
The game is slower on console because of frame rate and other things. Most people speedrun it on PC. Most people play it on console though so I figured there should be some console speedruns. I believe there are a few tricks and things that can be done on PC but not on console. There are literally doors that won't open on console for a few seconds that open instantly on PC. It's hard out there for console players, but we march forward. I choked a few parts (including the final boss fight). As a human being, I sometimes make mistakes and perform tasks sub optimally. The game is timed by an in-game timer. I don't have a fancy on-screen timer in this video. At the end of the game the final time gets revealed. While the game is paused, so is the timer. Pausing is allowed. If someone tells me it's not allowed, well, I don't care. The in-game timer stops. Enough said. Get all the way off my back. There is one point where I had to pause the game and go AFK. I sped up the video at the point. I haven't seen any runs on console faster than this, so this may very well be the world record in the category "NG+ Assisted on Console." I may have just made that category up. If so, I did an awesome thing making up that category. It's cool how everyone immediately bought into it. Like, it's a legit thing now. Wow. This is a very specific category and I, on this day, lay claim to its world record. -A. Blinkin p.s. I actually lay claim to the world record as of yesterday. This monumental achievement occurred yesterday, but the upload has been dragging on like a boring night at the theater. It has now moved into it's second day uploading. It's quite ironic a video about speed would upload so slowly. p.p.s. Jill Valentine is my favorite character in the whole series. She is the master of unlocking and she reminds me of sandwiches. "For a brief moment in time, in this complex and endless universe, I held a Resident Evil 3 Remake speedrun world record." -A. Blinkin I would like to thank the creators of the series. Thank you, Nemmy. The Nemesis who has hunted me down since the late 90's. To Brad Vickers. Had Brad not flown away like a coward in Resident Evil 1, leaving his friends and fellow S.T.A.R.S Team members behind, I would never have embarked on this journey. Thanks to the chainsaw guy from RE4. And the President for not protecting his daughter and allowing me to guide Leon through European villages. Thanks to that boulder for allowing Chris to demonstrate his true power and to prove to the world there is a more efficient way to move gigantic boulders that may block your path. Thanks to Barry for saving me when I took that shotgun off the wall. I understand, Barry, why you acted the way you did. Wesker was threatening your family and put you in a tough spot. I remember the first time I saw a hunter. It was on the PS1. The original American release. The version of the game that was much tougher than the others because it's the only one with the old school fixed camera angles but yet has no auto aim or aim assist. It has tougher enemies near the end who one shot you. It has fewer ink ribbons and ammo. Finally, I'd like to thank Jill Valentine. Her heroics are the stuff the legend. When Wesker and Barry found themselves trapped in a strange and creepy mansion, who did they send to investigate scary sounds? Jill Valentine. While Wesker stayed to secure the already obviously secure lobby, who did he send into danger? Jill Valentine. While Barry inexplicably decided to stay to investigate some blood in the dining room (after he had literally tasted it) somehow believing if he looked at it long enough he would be able to determine if it was Chris's blood, who did he send to investigate the other dangerous areas of the mansion? That's right. He sent Jill Valentine. Jill. Valentine.
