[희림건축] 현대의 중추를 바로 세우다, HD현대 글로벌 R&D센터ㅣHD Hyundai Global R&D Center

HD현대 글로벌 R&D센터는 HD현대 17개 전 계열사의 연구인력 및 지원인력 5천 명이 근무하는 그룹의 통합사옥으로 최상의 근무환경 제공 및 에너지절감형 친환경 건축물을 목표로 계획하였다. 건물의 메인 컨셉은 ‘스마트 큐브·스마트 보이드·스마트 그리드’이다. ‘스마트 큐브’는 상징적이고 집약된 정육면체 매스디자인으로, 각 방향에서 보이는 모든 면이 건물의 정면이 되며 외장면적 최소화를 통해 에너지를 절감할 수 있도록 하였다. ‘스마트 보이드’는 건물 중앙부를 비워 만든 친환경 중정공간으로, 태양 빛과 바람의 통로가 되어 조명 및 공조에너지를 절감하고, 중정을 통해 전 층 사무실이 서로 보일 수 있도록 하여 직원 간 소통 및 협업 공간이 되도록 계획하였다. HD Hyundai Global R&D Center is aimed to provide the best working environment and fulfill the energy-saving eco-friendly building, as an integrated office facility where 5,000 researchers and supporting manpowers from all 17 affiliates of HD Hyundai. The all embracing design concept of this project is “Smart Cube, Smart Void, Smart Grid”. “Smart Cube” is embodied as a symbolic and intensive cube mass design. All faces in each direction become the front of the building, and the elevation strategy of minimizing the exterior area enables to save the energy. “Smart Void” is an eco-friendly courtyard created by vertically vacating the central part of the building. It becomes a ventilation and sunlighting path to reduce illumination and air conditioning energy.
