The original lineup consisted of Tom Petty on lead vocals and guitar, Mike Campbell on lead guitar, Benmont Tench on keyboards, Ron Blair on bass, and Stan Lynch on drums. Over the years, the band experienced several personnel changes, but the core lineup of Petty, Campbell, Tench, and Blair remained intact throughout their career. The band's first album, "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers", was released in 1976 and was followed by several other critically acclaimed albums including "You're Gonna Get It!" (1978), "Damn the Torpedoes" (1979), and "Hard Promises" (1981). In addition to their work with the Heartbreakers, Tom Petty also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums and hit songs.
