Hiking taebaeksan in winter 겨울태백산눈꽃산행

태백산국립공원 강원도와 경상북도의 경계에 자리한 태백산으로 높이는 1,568ｍ이다 강원도 태백시·영월군·정선군과 경상북도 봉화군에 걸쳐 지정된 국립공원입니다 지정 면적은 70 052㎢이다 태백산이라는 명칭은 가장 높고 큰 봉우리에 자갈과 모래가 널려 있어 멀리서 바라보면 마치 흰 눈이 쌓여 있는 것 같이 보인다는 데에서 유래하였다고 전해진다 태백산은 국내의 대표적인 주목 군락지로 잘 알려져 있다 봄이 되면 산철쭉, 진달래의 군락지가 등산객을 맞이하고, 여름에는 울창한 수목과 차고 깨끗한 계곡물이 한여름 더위를 잊게 해주며, 가을에는 산에 자라는 형형색색의 단풍나무가 만드는 절경이 유명하고, 겨울에는 흰 눈으로 뒤덮인 주목 군락의 설경이 장관이다 장군봉을 향해 올라가다보면 주목 군락은 있는데 아주 신기하고 아름다운 모습을 보여준다 이 주목들은 나무껍질과 목재 부분이 붉은 색을 띠어, 붉은 '주' 자를 써서 붙여진 이름이다 '살아서 천년, 죽어서 천년' 이리고 부를 만큼 재질이 잘 썩지 않는 특징이 있다 탐방 코스로는 유일사 코스, 백단사 코스, 당골 코스, 문수봉 코스, 금천 코스 등이 이용되고 있다 태백산은 경치가 아름답고 만경대·상일사·백단사·백련암 등의 사찰을 품고 있다 만경대에서는 해뜨는 동해 바다가 잘 내려다보인다 매년 6월 초에는 태백산 철쭉제가 열리고 1월 말에는 태백산 눈축제가 개최된다 산정에는 단종을 모신 단종비각과 천년 이상 제천의식이 행해지던 태백산 천제단이 남아있고 오늘날에도 매년 개천절이면 하늘에 제를 올린다 652년(진덕여왕 6) 자장율사가 창건한 사찰인 망경사를 비롯하여 정암사, 심원사, 백단사, 유일사, 만덕사, 청원사 등 크고 작은 사찰이 산재해 있고, 망경사 입구에는 우리나라에서 가장 높은 곳에 위치한 샘인 용정이 있다 Taebaeksan National Park Taebaeksan Mountain is located on the border between Gangwon-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do, with a height of 1,568m It is a designated national park spanning Taebaek-si, Yeongwol-gun, and Jeongseon-gun in Gangwon-do and Bonghwa-gun in Gyeongsangbuk-do The designated area is 70 052 km2 It is said that the name Taebaeksan is derived from the fact that the highest peak is covered with gravel and sand, and when viewed from a distance, it looks like white snow Taebaeksan is well known as a representative spot for yews in Korea In spring, colonies of azaleas and azaleas welcome hikers In summer, dense trees and cool, clean valley water make you forget the midsummer heat In autumn, the colorful maple trees growing on the mountain are famous for their superb view, and in winter, white The snow scene of the yew colonies covered in snow is spectacular As for the courses, the Yuilsa Course, Baekdansa Course, Danggol Course, Munsubong Course, and Geumcheon Course are used From Mangyongdae, you can see the sunrise over the East Sea The Taebaeksan Azalea Festival is held at the beginning of June every year, and the Taebaeksan Snow Festival is held at the end of January At the top of the mountain, there are the monument to Danjong and the Cheonjedan in Taebaeksan, where rituals were performed for more than a thousand years There are many large and small temples such as Mangyeongsa, a temple founded by Jajangyulsa in 652 (the 6th year of Queen Jindeok), Jeongamsa, Simwonsa, Baekdansa, Yuilsa, Mandeoksa, and Cheongwonsa There is a dragon spring at the entrance to Mangyeongsa Temple
