5MW Wind Turbine Simulation with SIMULIA PowerFLOW

Results of the NREL/SANDIA 5MW/61.5m Wind Turbine Reference Model obtained with SIMULIA PowerFLOW under 14m/s free-stream conditions (RPM ~ 12). With the high fidelity Lattice Boltzmann based CFD solver PowerFLOW, the aerodynamic, thermal and aeroacoustic near-field information of the turbine is studied in extreme detail.
