Man shot in face in South Toledo

A man was shot in face Thursday afternoon in Toledo's south end after what neighbors are calling as a domestic dispute. The alleged shooting unfolded at around 2:30 p.m. on Lodge Avenue near Grafton Avenue. The man was protecting his daughter when he was shot, neighbors said. A woman was reportedly moving out of a house on Lodge Avenue, when an friend of her ex-boyfriend showed up with a gun, neighbors said. The woman's father was helping her move, neighbors said, and when he saw what was about to happen, he took action and stepped in front of the man with a gun. Moments later he was shot in the face.
