With Church Choir under the direction of Linda Marcinkus, our organist and choir director. (42.47 minutes) Order of Service: Words of Welcome Hymn: Angels We Have Heard on High ELW 289 Reading: Isaiah 9:2-7 Prayer of the Evening Choir: Psalm 98 + Christmas Halleluja Reading I: Luke 2:1-7 Choir: Most Holy Night (with flute accompaniment by Nicole Koo Tze Mew) 1.Most holy night! Most holy night! Darkness receding from Bethlehem's regions. hails a bright light from the heavenly choir; Angels appearing in numberless legions bring joyful tidings our hearts to inspire. Glory to God and on earth peace to men! Hasten, ye shepherds to blest Bethlehem; He whom God manifold to prophets hath foretold lies there a Child. Lies there a Child. 2.Monst holy Child! Most holy Child! Leaving high heaven's throne to earth descending for love of man to redeem him from sin. Bitterness, sufferings, death Thee impending, seekest the hearts Thou hast made, back to win. So to Thy crib hasten we to adore, love and forgiveness we humbly implore. We give our hearts to Thee; now and eternity may they be Thine. May they be Thine. Reading II: Luke 2:8-20 Choir: This Peaceful Night (with solo by Philippe Koo Tze Mew) Shadows fell, the air grew cold on that night long ago. In a stable dark and bare Mary gave God's son tender care. All the world was still that night; all was still that night. Quietly in darkest night, Christ was born, God's pure light. In a manger stall He lay, on a humble bed of hay. Love came down to the world that night; love came down that night. To the stable come and pray on this blessed Holy day. Worship now the King of Kings; share the love and joy He brings. Peace has come to the world this night; peace has come this night. Sermon Offering Hymn: Joy to the World ELW 267 Prayers of Intercession The Lord's Prayer Announcements Benediction Hymn: Silent Night ELW 281 1.Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright round yon virgin mother and child. Holy infant so tender and mild, sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace. 2.Silent night, holy night, shepherds quake at the sight; glories stream from heaven afar, heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ the Saviour is born, Christ the Saviour is born! 3.Silent night, holy night, Son of God, love's pure light; radiant beams from thy holy face with the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at thy birth, Jesus, Lord at thy birth.
