TINY APARTMENT 18sqm ( 194sqft MICRO APARTMENT TOUR ) | SPACE SAVING IDEAS | NEVER SAY TOO SMALL
This 18 square meter apartment is designed for a young girl, it is located in the busy center of London. The young girl's request for HP Design's architects was to have a space for her to practice yoga without sacrificing any utility. The solution the architects came up with is a bed with a dining table that can be folded into the wall, which has freed up space thoroughly to create space for her to practice yoga comfortably. A design of a TV shelf that folds and slides on the ceiling, but she has no need to use the TV and asked to remove it from the design to help the house look more open. In many of Europe's older cities, small living spaces can be quite common, especially in cities as old and as dense as Paris, France. Over the years, we've appreciated a number of interesting small space renovations and quirky conversions in the City of Lights, ranging from a former doorman's residence, a bathroom-turned-micro-apartment, to an old garage transformed into a home for a family of four. And as anyone who's lived in a small apartment will tell you, a lot of creativity and careful attention to details is needed to maximize the space that's available, and to make all the miscellaneous pieces work together. No matter how big your home, you want to be able to maximize your use of the space. In a larger area, this is a bit easier to do with the careful placement of furniture and organized storage solutions. However, as a home gets smaller, space-saving solutions have to get a bit more creative. One way to maximize space in a small home is through the use of levels. We see this often in lofted bed designs, but there are myriad ways to use vertical space to keep a small home organized and feel spacious. Tiny apartment featured in this post are a bit undersized, but in their design, certainly don't feel that way. Living, working, sleeping – all in one room. This is made possible by a well thought-out concept that combines functionality with comfort. As part of a study, HP Design designed an intelligent all-in-one 1-room apartment that ensures the best use of every single square meter. The efficient room layout and flexible furniture provide maximum multifunctionality in the entire apartment. The minimalist geometric design language enables effective solutions according to requirements. As a result, variable arrangements can be created quickly, allowing for pleasant living comfort despite the limited space.
