[2023 VLBC 성경읽기] 오순절 Week 5 | Day 4 히브리서 1-3장 오순절(Pentecost)은 초대 교회 때 예수님 부활 이후 50일째 되는 날에 성령을 받은 날입니다 유월절 후 50일째 되는 이날은 유대인들에게 모세가 시내산에서 하나님께 율법(십계명)을 받고 백성들에게 전한 날입니다 (출 19) 유월절의 양으로 십자가에서 피를 흘리신 예수님께서 삼일 후 부활하신 후 40일간 제자들과 함께 하셨고 승천하시기 전 제자들에게 ‘아버지께서 약속하신 것을 기다리라’고 명령하셨습니다 제자들은 이 명령에 순종해 한데 모여 기다리고 있었고 오순절을 맞아 '마가의 다락방'에 모인 120명의 성도들은 기도하던 중 성령의 충만함을 받았습니다 (행2) 밸리생명의 교회는 2023년 오순절 기간 동안 신약 서신과 요한 계시록을 읽으려 합니다 오순절의 성경 읽기를 통해 초대교회에서 일어난 성령의 역사를 묵상하며 우리 안에서 임하셔서 말씀과 성령이 인도하시는 삶을 함께 살아가길 소망합니다 The day of Pentecost is celebrated on the 50th day from Easter Sunday to commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ For such reason, it’s marked as the beginning of the Christian church's mission to the world Before Jesus ascended to the heaven, he told the disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit, the promised gift from the Father God Commemorating the Pentecost helps us to put our hope in God’s faithfulness and to posture ourselves to wait on the return of Jesus At Valley Life Baptist Church, we want to read through the New Testament Letters and the Revelation in this season toward the day of Pentecost We hope that we’ll experience the power of the Holy Spirit in a new way as we read through the word of God together as a community of God
