Eat for GOOD LUCK!🍀💰Southern BLACK-EYED peas w Cornbread/Yaya's Spoon❤️

💰Having lived in the South all my life, I grew up eating black-eyed peas especially as a tradition on New Year’s Day for good luck and prosperity in the new year. Grandma would cook up a big pot of black-eyed peas and serve a warm bowl of good luck to everyone gathered. These legumes, with a slightly smoky flavor, are high in protein and fiber, making them nutritious, satisfying and very delicious! 🌽🍞Southern Cornbread goes perfectly with this dish, and this recipe delivers deliciousness! History of WHY we Southerners eat this dish for NEW YEARS! "From African roots to symbols of survival and prosperity, here's why black-eyed peas are more than just a meal—they're a celebration of culture, resilience, and hope."
