TODAY'S GOSPEL Thursday, September 4, 2025 - Luke 5:1-11 | READING from the WORD of GOD
TODAY'S GOSPEL "Leaving everything, they followed him." From the Holy Gospel according to Luke 5:1-11 Jesus was standing on the shore of the Lake of Gennesaret, and the crowds were pressing in on him to hear the word of God. Jesus saw two boats lying alongside. The fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets. Jesus got into one of the boats, Simon's, and asked him to put out a little from the land. Then he sat in the boat and taught the crowd. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch." Simon replied, "Rabbi, we have worked all night and haven't caught anything; but I have trusted in your word, and I will let down the nets." He did so, and they caught so many fish that the nets were breaking. Then they signaled to their companions in the other boat to come and help them. They came and filled both boats so much that they were almost sinking. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus's feet and said, "Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinner!" For both he and his companions were filled with wonder at the catch they had caught. So were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were Simon's companions. Then Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be a fisher of men." Then they pulled their boats to land and, leaving everything, followed him. The Word of the Lord. Glory to you, Lord Jesus. ________________________________________ Follow the Animando Tu Misa channel on WhatsApp: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va72... #gospeloftoday #animandotumisa #gospeloftheday #elrincónguadalupano #palabradedios
