Ingredients ******************* Pâte à Choux Dough ******************** 3/4 Cup Water 178 g 2 Tablespoons Oil 28 g 1/2 Teaspoon Salt 6g 2 Tablespoons Sugar 6g 2 Teaspoon Vanilla (optional) 6g ------------------------------- 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour 90g ------------------------------- Oil (as needed) Sugar (as needed) Cinnamon (as needed) Hot chocolate/ Ganache (optional) Heat up all ingredients except for the flour. Bring to a simmer. Add flour in mix together to form a ball of dough Heat oil to 375°F Place inside a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip. (1M works) Pipe 4 to 6 inches strips. Be sure to turn the churros for even frying Serve hot with chocolate. **************************************** Tips **************************************** *Don't overmix. Otherwise, the churros will be dense. *If the choux dough is too thick, add a little but of water if necessary to help squeeze out the dough. The dough should be quite firm. *Keep the oil hot. *Have your mise en place together before deep frying. *You could freeze the churros into their shapes if you like. *There are some methods to baking churros as opposed to deep frying
