Luke 6:35 (NIV)‬: But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Some people only work for and bless those with the capacity to repay them. They will not invest time and resources in people who do not have the capacity to reward them. A man of God I know refused to travel to a remote village to preach the gospel because it was a ‘waste of the anointing.’ This is not a good way to live because God’s heart is with those people who are helpless and unable to do much to change their circumstances. In Matthew 25:36, He says, ‘I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ You must have a volunteering heart and spirit. There should be people in this life you bless without expecting anything from them. Look for a child who cannot afford school fees and pay for them. Help a stranger who will never reward you in this lifetime or even know that your hand helped to make their life a little easier.
