Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds offers a twist on the classic concept of the blue hedgehog's racing games. This time, the tracks not only cover land, water, or air, but also intertwine with other dimensions that completely change the course mid-game. The race leader can choose between different alternate worlds, which alters the course for all competitors and adds a layer of strategy that goes beyond pure speed. The game features 24 main tracks, 15 CrossWorlds, and over 20 playable characters, with customization options, single-player, and multiplayer modes. A Sega and Sonic Team effort that seeks to reinvent the franchise's racing formula with a more dynamic, unpredictable, and cross-dimensional action-focused approach.
