Croatia Earthquake 6.4 (Petrinja) Compilation December 29, 2020 || Potres Sisak
On tuesday December 29, 2020 a magnitude 6.4 earthquake hits Petrinja, Sisak Moslavina county, Croatia with a depth 10.0 km maximum intensity VIII (Severe). Tremor was felt in the capital city Zagreb and neighbouring countries Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At least 7 people are confirmed dead another 26 other were injured. Hundreds of building were damage or destroyed in Petrinja, Sisak, Glina and surrounding areas. Majske Poljane was the worst effects 5 people were killed in the village. In Zazina a church collapsed killing one person and injured 3 people. While in Petrinja the city near the epicenter earthquake a 12-years old girls was killed by falling debris and was the only fatalities reported in the city. It was the strongest earthquake to hit Croatia in more than 140 years since 1880 Zagreb earthquake (M6.3). The earthquake caused by movements of Adriatic and Eurasian plate.
