🌊 Anchor My Heart is my answer to Deftones’ Cherry Waves, written for my daughter who said, “I bet you can make one like that.” Challenge accepted! Not only did I make one song. I made two. The first version leaned more toward worship with a Switchfoot vibe. But this second version is my daughter’s favorite. My dad flex was to impress my princess that I could capture the beauty and atmosphere of the original and turn it into an anthem of hope, rescue, and unshakable faith. 🎧 For fans of: Deftones, HUM, Karnivool, and atmospheric post-rock.
