It adds a Minecraft minimap that is highly customizable. You can do everything from simple stuff like changing the size, shape, and location of the minimap to in depth settings like whether or not mobs, players, or other entities are displayed on your minimap. To get started, we will need to download Xaero’s Minimap Mod for 1.21.4. There is a link in the description above that will take you to our complete text guide on getting the 1.21.4 minimap mod. On this page, find the “Download Xaero’s Minimap” button and click you will now be taken to the Minecraft Minimap mod’s official download page. There, click on the “Files” tab and find the 1.21.4 Fabric version of Xaero’s Minimap. Click the three dots next to this version and click “Download File” the Minecraft Minimap mod’s Xaero’s Minimap will now start downloading. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser. We aren’t completely done yet though. We still need to get Fabric 1.21.4 installed and the FabricAPI downloaded. To get things installed, open up the Minecraft Launcher. Then, click on the “Installations” tab at the top. There, you will see a “Fabric 1.21.4” installation. Hover over this and click on the folder icon that appears. This will open your .minecraft folder. In this folder, there should be a “mods” folder. If there isn’t a “mods” folder, just create one! Now, to install the Minecraft minimap mod in 1.21.4, drag-and-drop Xaero’s Minimap and the Fabric API into the mods folder. It’s that easy to add a minimap to Minecraft 1.21.4.
