New Years ball drop: NYC Times Square makes final preparations | LiveNOW from FOX
As 2024 is coming to an end, final preparations are in full swing for New Years Eve festivities in Times Square, as police implement public safety measures. The ball drop can best be seen along Broadway, from 43rd Street to 50th Street, and along Seventh Avenue, as far north as 59th Street. The celebration will begin shortly before 6 p.m. After that, the ball will be raised to the top of the pole, where at exactly 11:59 p.m., the ball will make its 60-second descent down the flagpole to signal the start of the new year. New York City (NYC) Mayor Eric Adams and New York City Police Department (NYPD) Commissioner Jessica Tisch made public safety announcements ahead of New Years Eve. FOX 5 New York's Robert Moses joined LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow with the details. Subscribe to LiveNOW from FOX! https://www.youtube.com/livenowfox?su...
