In side episode we fight a variety of clergy members, a giant, and even face the Deacons of the Deep. The real boss fight will occur in the next episode but Tadpole gives it a quick try. A slumbering giant stand in the way of us completing the area. Tadpole unleashes a furry of magic at it but it never becomes aggressive until we encroach on its territory. Tadpole exhausts her magical pool and the giant falls dead. In the tarry area we find a whole slew of Drang gear. Why might it be located here? Hawkwood has gone missing! Later we find his shield resting against a grave befitting a member of the Undead Legion. Yoel, our sorcerer friend, is lying face down on the ground with no leads to go on. Greirat is not dead. He is quite alive and has returned from this thieving escapades with all sorts of new wares. We return to the Cathedral of the Deep and find the focal point of the clergy's attention. Behind the alter is a fog wall leading to the Deacons of the Deep. Tadpole runs around the room slashing at the deacons until we uncover the mystery on how to defeat the boss. This hard earned knowledge will serve us will in the next episode when we finally best the Deacons.
