Ingredients: 5 cups Old-Fashioned Oats 1 cup chopped cashews 1 stick of butter (1/2lb) 1/2 cup honey 2/3 cup brown sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt Place oats and cashews on baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees for 5-10 minutes until golden (do not over cook!). While oats and cashews are in the oven, melt butter in a pan on medium heat, then add brown sugar and honey. Stir until combined and heat until slightly bubbling. Add salt and vanilla and mix until frothy. Remove oats and cashews from oven and pour into a bix mixing bowl. Add butter mixture to bowl and combine wet and dry ingredients. You may add craisins, raisins, shredded coconut, etc. to the mixture at this time. DO NOT ADD meltable ingredients like chocolate chips or butterscotch chips until cooled a bit or they will melt! Spread mixture back onto baking sheet with parchment paper and spread out into flat layer. Place in refrigerator for 1-2 hours until cooked completely. For granola bars, cut into bar-sized pieces and keep cool in refrigerator when not eating. For granola crumble, simply crumble the mixture and place in container.
